Imus Sidekick, Bernard McGuirk, Fired One Week Later

Following a discussion about KROCK’s falling revenue since Howard left terrestrial radio, Howard brought up that Don Imus’ producer, Bernard McGuirk, was finally fired a week after his boss lost his job.

Howard went on to say he never wanted to prevent people from working – even noting he’d given his approval in the past to radio stations to hire some of his rival disc jockeys – but that he was “glad” Bernard was fired because of a bit he once did at Beth’s expense.

Despite this, Howard also admitted he wouldn’t make a big deal out of it if Bernard was offered a job at SIRIUS, which he added was an example of just how much he wanted to see everyone have a job.
