Riley Marin called in to ask why Howard never promoted his show, but Howard ignored the question and instead wondered if the rumor he'd heard about Riley – namely that he urinated in a jug during his show – was true.
Riley responded by neither confirming nor denying the jug allegation, but also claimed he didn't have time to go to the bathroom, which is located on the second floor of his house where he does his program, during his broadcast.
Riley went on to refer to Howard as "cheap," which led Gary to come into the studio to report Riley had just signed a one-year contract to continue his show, so he didn't understand why he was upset this morning. Riley eventually admitted the person who informed Howard about his bathroom habit "wasn't lying," but assured him the people who watched him urinate weren't offended by it.
As Riley continued to complain about his salary, Howard took a call from the New York Post writer, Don Kaplan, who reported he once saw Riley peeing in a jug outside of the SIRIUS building. However, when Don next said Riley tried to sell him one of his books when he ran into him, Riley got defensive and pointed out that wasn't true because he didn't carry copies of his book with him.
