While Lisa G. was in the studio talking about today's Howard 100 News headlines, she reported that Scott the Engineer went to an invite-only get together earlier in the week between members of the show and sponsors, and that no one wanted him there.
This led Scott to come in to explain he'd been with the show for 21 years and therefore figured he'd be welcomed at the party, but that he quickly found out that wasn't true, especially because he stood by himself for 10 minutes before leaving. As Artie laughed at Scott's frustration, he added he thought Scott was one day going to show up at work with a gun, and quickly pointed out he was on Scott's side.
Scott went on to call the fact that people like Richard and Sal were invited to the party while he wasn't "disgusting," while also admitting this was just another example of "the black cloud" hanging over his head.
Given this, Howard announced he was inviting Scott to all future parties concerning the show, a gesture that Sal celebrated by blowing a party maker and putting a party hat on Scott's head.
