Howard began today saying there was already controversy surrounding Andy Dick, who was being roasted later in the show, because his publicist had just quit this morning. After Howard noted he'd ask Andy about the situation when he arrived, Howard welcomed Artie back after he missed yesterday's show because he was filming his role for "Rescue Me."
Howard then asked Artie if he stuck to his plan of eating healthy yesterday, but Artie admitted he "overdid it a little" on the set, and that he ate potatoes, cereal, waffles and ice cream and an omelet.
This led Artie to mention he was "lucky," though, because he didn't have to defecate until he got home from the shoot, and Howard added that, for whatever reason, his bowels always waited for him to get back to his apartment following each show before they emptied themselves.
As Artie prepared to be weighed, Howard reported that Scott the Engineer, who finished third in the Battle of the Blobs, seemed to be getting back to his old eating habits, explaining he'd eaten a cookie and a cupcake already this morning.
However, Scott came into the studio and insisted that, while he did consume the cookie, he'd picked up the cupcake to give to his intern. When Scott admitted he'd eaten onion rings recently at lunch, Gary, who was in the studio, guessed he'd weigh 245 pounds by Christmas, and he and Scott, who said he weighed 218 pounds today, made "a gentleman's bet" about the topic.
Artie proceeded to get on the scale, and it was revealed he'd lost three pounds since last week, and was down to 300 pounds.
