Howard announced it was time for the Andy Dick Roast, and he went around the dais to say hello to the comedians as the in-studio audience applauded and laughed.
When Howard got to Lisa Lampanelli, he pointed out that Andy didn't want her to participate this morning because he was afraid she was going to be "too mean," but she replied that she thought Andy was joking when he said that. Andy then came into the studio to a round of applause, and acknowledged he hadn't slept the previous night because he was so nervous, and added he hadn't even had a drink before coming into the studio either.
The Rev. Bob Levy then stepped up to the microphone to begin the roast, and took shots at Howard's and Beth's engagement, as well as at Robin's weight, telling her she was "growing like a sea monkey" and that he thought she and Mr. X didn't breakup, but that she ate him instead. Bob went on to make fun of Artie's weight before turning to Andy, who insisted he was "fine" despite Bob's rapid-fire gay jokes.
