Artie said he bought a place on the Jersey Shore yesterday, saying "it's beautiful; I love it."
Artie noted that his mom is retired, and decorating the place will be her new project. Artie then mentioned that there were a couple great Italian delis nearby. Gary came in to say that David Chase gave an interview from France, where he's hiding from the fury over the finale, to the Newark Star-Ledger and said he wasn't trying to ruffle anyone's feathers with the abrupt cut-to-black. David also denied there were any plans for a movie at this time, and defended the finale, saying you can't kill everyone and have it mean nothing. Artie replied that he didn't believe Tony was dead, and Robin recalled the conversation Tony and Bobby had while fishing earlier in the season, when Tony said that death is a sudden black nothing.
