The Martian Vs. the Jokeman

Howard started the show noting that he got a message from Jackie “The Joke Man” Martling over the weekend, claiming he still didn’t know why Fred was angry with him, as Fred had railed against Jackie last week. Fred confessed that he didn’t hate Jackie, he just found him annoying. Gary came in to say he had a whole list of people who’ve worked for (and now hate) Jackie, but Fred and Howard ignored him, instead making fun of the weird attic in Jackie’s home, which was the only place in the house where you could get a glimpse of Long Island Sound. Fred then revealed that he was angry with Jackie over some things that happened since the two performed together at the Gary roast (like Jackie’s insistence on being referred to as the show’s ex-“head writer”), but Howard moved on before he could fully explain.
