Howard got Mike Walker from The National Enquirer on the line, as he does every Thursday, to play "The Gossip Game," in which Mike reads four gossip items – three (allegedly) true, one false – and the crew has to guess the fake. Mike then read this week's stories: 1. Russell Crowe angrily rejected an offer to remake "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid." 2. Jennifer Aniston hired extra security at her new house after a paparazzo posed as an interior designer to infiltrate the property. 3. Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal hired the Dog Whisperer to help their dogs get along. 4. Jay Leno is pissed at David Letterman for finally offering him a guest slot on "The Late Show" - but only after Jay retires. Howard and Fred thought the Dog Whisperer item had too many qualifying phrases while Robin and Artie didn't think Leno would strike back at Letterman. Mike then announced that Howard and Fred were right.
