A caller asked if JD's relationship with Jared Fox had improved since they spent 24 hours handcuffed to each other, so JD came in to say: "Everything's fine. I'm friendlier...we say hello to each other." Howard said that never used to happen before the contest, and JD explained: "It's whatever...right now we're trying to track down all the money we won."
Howard laughed that a lot of people had a hard time collecting money they'd won on the show: "Shouldn't it already be [in escrow]?" Richard Christy came in to say that he and Sal once waited over three months for a prize money check before they decided to put Steve Langford on the case - which worked: a check magically showed up before the bulldog could air his report. Benjy said he had similar problems when he won the Battle of the Blobs' $25,000 prize: "There were threats when I brought it up, like, 'This better not come out on the air.'"
