Jeff the Drunk called in to ask Artie for a hotel room the night of "their" upcoming Atlantic City gig, so Artie asked him to "look at this from a business standpoint: I'm getting nothing. Not one extra seat is filled because you're coming. You want payment, a room, gas money, and toll money. I'm gonna drop like six-seven hundred before the room." Howard recommended that Artie pay Jeff not to come, and Artie loved the idea, offering Jeff $200 to stay home. Instead of accepting the offer, Jeff hung up.
While he was on the subject of his business, Artie said he wanted Teddy to start dressing better. Artie complained that Teddy eats Fritos and Cheetos and wipes his fingers on his jeans, so Teddy came in to counter that Artie's been wearing the same Syracuse sweatshirt for three weeks. Jeff then called back to say he'd been working on material, so Artie buckled and told him to contact Teddy and work out a budget motel arrangement.
