Howard got Mike Walker of the National Enquirer on the line, as he does every Thursday, to play "The Gossip Game," in which Mike reads four gossip items – three (allegedly) true, and one false – and the crew has to guess the fake. Mike then read this week's stories:
1. Justin Timberlake hired a maid to care for his injured housekeeper.
2. Chaos erupted on the set of "Grey's Anatomy," after Patrick Dempsey jokingly affixed a gold star on Katherine Hiegl's dressing room and Ellen Pompeo thew a fit, thinking the show's producers put it there.
3. Tom Cruise spurned the Oscars for a NASCAR race because some of actors that would be attending the awards had bad mouthed Scientology.
4. Paris Hilton is upset about the "Milan Carlton" character on Courtney Cox's "Dirt."
Howard, Robin, and Artie all thought the first story had been used before. Fred picked the fourth story, just to prevent a possible shut-out. Mike then revealed that the first story was the fake, saying today's game was a test; he used the same fake item a few years ago.
