A Big Curmudgeon in Amsterdam

Howard started off the show noting that Artie was being a “curmudgeon” about his trip to Amsterdam for Jason’s bachelor party: the fat man told Jason that he doesn’t want to go to any “dumb” concerts or coffee shops. Artie admitted that he’s going with a bunch of 20-year-old guys, but he’s not flying coach, staying in a shitty hotel, or smoking a bunch of pot like they are: “I said I’d take ’em out to dinner and that’s it. I really might do some tours and shit…but I might hang with the guys way more than it sounds. I told ’em just to pretend that I happen to see them there.” Howard and Robin speculated that Artie might slip back into heroin while in Amsterdam, but Artie denied it: “Maybe if its a rainy day [I might bang a bunch of hookers].” Howard laughed that Jason and the guys were just going to Amsterdam to smoke weed, so Gary came in to tell a story about the crazy-strong pot you can buy there: after getting high in one of the city’s “coffee shops,” his wife passed out on the spot.
