Reggie Jackson stopped by to promote his limited engagement with Sirius XM's own Mad Dog Radio every Tuesday night through the last game of the World Series, and balked when Howard asked if he could address him as Mr. October: "Most people I tell to call me anything they want, but I have to be careful around you."
Howard wondered if the still-virile Reggie likes to date young women, but Reggie denied it, saying he once had problems dating a 26 year old: "I can't handle what it looks like in public. I'm comfortable with a woman in her 30s." Reggie also confessed to Viagra use: "I had a car accident...I had problems after that." Similarly, he had little problem with admitting to his masturbatory habits: "There are those that do and those that lie."
Reggie then told the crew he wasn't just lucky to have an active sex life, but also to have played baseball when he did: "I made more money than Mays, Mantle and Clemente and I was not that kind of player."

Reggie commented on steroid use in baseball, saying: "I'm disappointed as to the impact and penalties that have been paid...when you accuse someone of taking steroids, you must be absolutely sure." Reggie also denied reports he hated ex-Yankee manager Billy Martin: "I didn't like him but I didn't waste my time hating him. That's too much effort."
Howard asked if all the Mets were gay, leading Reggie to laugh: "No. They just had a bad year." Reggie then invited Howard to one of the Yankees' playoff games, and Howard said he might just take him up on his offer.
