Howard started off the show hinting that Sal had done something really bad, but then went off on a tangent about how great the new "Star Trek" movie was yesterday. Howard spent a little while praising the film on all fronts (effects, casting, adherence to the Star Trek story, etc) and calling it one of the best films he's ever seen.
Artie then laughed that Sal had been pacing the halls for the entire time waiting to hear what he had done wrong. Howard then explained that yesterday was long one after his Sunday-night fight with Beth, so he wrote her to apologize: "I said I felt really sad that we had our first fight…I came home and I saw her and you know. We kissed hello and all that stuff."
After making up, Howard said they were at dinner when Beth received an email from Sal with some computer pointers, tipping her that Howard had discussed the fight on the air. Howard was livid: "This f'ing moron didn't even listen to what I said…can't you leave my wife alone?" Sal came in to say he was just trying to be nice and share his post-it note "click save" mnemonic device. Howard didn't care: "If you want to write my wife a note, just write me a note. So I can delete it…don't write my wife!"
Robin laughed that no one else thought to write Beth a note, and Howard continued to attack: "Put a post-it note on your computer that says 'asshole' on it so anytime you forget, you're reminded that you're an asshole. Write a post-it note that says 'Save my marriage.'"
