Howard got Mike Walker of The National Enquirer on the line to play The Gossip Game, in which Mike reads four gossip items - three (allegedly) true, one false - and the crew has to pick the fake.
This week's stories:
1. David Letterman gave his staff rolls of toilet paper reading '#1' to staffers now that he's beating 'The Tonight Show' in the ratings.
2. After Kyra Sedgwick told 'Gossip Girl' star Chace Crawford that he had pretty big shoes to fill (referring to her husband, Kevin Bacon) in the remake of 'Footloose', he presented her with a pair of clown shoes.
3. Jennifer Love Hewitt snapped at boyfriend Jamie Kennedy after discovering he was ignoring her calls to play video games on his laptop in a hotel lobby.
4. Mickey Rourke asked a Beverly Hills waiter to pick up his prescription for him down the street - and tipped him $300 for the favor.
Howard thought the Mickey Rourke item was fake, but both Robin and Artie went with the Chace Crawford item, as Mike had incorrectly pronounced Kyra Sedgwick's name. Fred picked the Letterman story. Mike announced that Robin and Artie were the winners.
Later, Letterman executive producer Rob Burnett called in to deny the first story, leading Fred to demand credit as co-winner.
