Howard started off the show noting that Robin's arm was in a sling: "You look like a transformer." Robin called it a "big foam protective thing...like a foam bed for my arm," explaining that she fell while rollerblading in Central Park: "I forgot my wrist guards."
Robin said she had surgery on Saturday to correct the break and confessed: "Currently I'm a wobbly rollerblader because I haven't been on rollerblades in a long time. I used to be a really good rollerblader." Howard replied (as his mother): "Rollerblading? What are you, 12?" Robin thanked Dr. Glickel and his team at St. Lukes/Roosevelt, leading Howard to wonder if Dr. Glickel tried to examine her wonderful breasts just for the hell of it. Robin denied it, adding that she opted for local anesthetic: "I basically had a Jeff the Drunk experience because I had no feeling in my arm and I couldn't move it...your arm just weighs 50,000 pounds...I couldn't even tell you where this arm was for a long while."
Robin said she was now taking Percocet pills every four hours: "And I never take pain medication. But this hurts." Artie envied her access to opiates: "I'm over the physical addiction, but mentally I'm so jealous of you." After learning Robin could overhear the surgeons during the procedure and that some of the doctors were Indian, Howard and Artie started riffing in Indian voices: "She flows like the River Ganges! I'm hard like a pyramid!"
