Howard got Mike Walker from The National Enquirer on the line, as he does every Thursday, to play The Gossip Game, in which Mike reads four gossip items – three (allegedly) true, one false – and the crew has to pick the fake.
This week's stories:
1. Jennifer Love Hewitt pointed at her chest to order two chicken breasts at a butcher shop.
2. Jerry Seinfeld refuses to let Larry David joke about his wealth on "Curb Your Enthusiasm."
3. Jessica Simpson asked her ex-husband, Nick Lachey, out for drinks--and he turned her down.
4. Shannon Doherty left a party because the only other celebrity there was Lorenzo Lamas.
Howard picked the Jessica Simpson item, both Robin and Artie went with the Seinfeld story and Fred zeroed in on the Jennifer Love Hewitt item, speculating that the item was recycled. Mike then confirmed that Fred was right – it was recycled from 1983 and originally about Kirstie Alley.
