Howard referred to a caller as his “pal” and stopped himself, explaining that he hated the term. Howard apologized to the caller, but Robin thought it was fine: “There’s nothing wrong with ‘pal.'”

Howard said was reminded of his issues with the word when he got an email from David Brenner that opened, “Hey Pal.”
