Joey Boots called in to update the crew on his life, saying he'd been battling drug addiction for the last year: "I got really bad cocaine and I was doing that for a while." Joey added that coming out of the closet actually made his depression worse: "I didn't know how to deal with it, you know what I mean?"
Howard asked how Joey was supporting himself and his crack habit, so Joey reported that he received a military pension – and sold crack: "I was smoking a lot." Joey claimed he recently "flatlined" and was unresponsive after drinking a bottle of vodka and taking 8 or 10 Percocets and had to be brought back to life with a "Pulp Fiction"-style adrenaline shot straight to the heart.
Joey said he just got back from a 10-week rehab in upstate New York and currently in the process of moving to "a little closet" in Hell's Kitchen. Joey also announced that he was currently writing an autobiography which Gary, who has read a few chapters, was chock full of graphic details of Joeys homosexual encounters.
