Howard’s Green Lantern Candidacy

Early in the show, Howard explained the Green Lantern’s super powers and wondered if he was heroic enough to take up the Power Ring.

Gary remembered the time Howard failed to prevent Shaq from hugging Robin: “We didn’t know there wasn’t any danger.”

Howard echoed Gary’s doubts about his heroism, referencing a time a crazy fan approached the staff at a public park: “I dove in the car and locked all the doors and my wife and Robin and Fred and Emily [were outside]…and everyone tries to get in and it’s locked.”

While they were talking about heroism, the conversation turned to Sebastian Giunta, the first living Medal of Honor recipient since the Vietnam War. Gary marveled that Sebastian seemed indifferent to the award: “He almost doesn’t want it.”
