Sarah Silverman stopped by to promote the latest season of Comedy Central's 'The Sarah Silverman Show' and Howard immediately asked about her new slimmed-down figure.
Sarah reported she'd recently lost 11lbs--but not in the gym: "I've just been using this free app on the iPhone called Lose It."
Howard wondered if she was trying to stick it to her ex, Jimmy Kimmel, with a new bikini body, but Sarah just laughed, noting that Jimmy had appreciated her the most when she was at her doughiest.
A Romance Born on Twitter
Howard asked how long it took for Sarah to sleep with someone new after breaking up with Jimmy, so Sarah joked: "It was several minutes--no, it was a long time...whoever is that next person is like breaking the seal of 7 years with one person."
Sarah added that she was now in love with her new boyfriend, Alec, one of the 'Family Guy' writers: "This guy now doesn't give a shit...since we met, we've spent every day together."
Sarah told the crew she'd known Alec for a long time, but reconnected with him on Twitter, where personal messages quickly turned to email, which turned to Sarah inviting him over to tuck her in: "We made love that night. Against all social opinion...I couldn't believe how skinny he was."
A few nights later, Sarah asked her boyfriend if he would be able to carry her to safety if she'd passed out: "He was like, 'Well you wouldn't know if I was dragging you.'"
The (Over)Cautious Network
Sarah complained about the 17-month delay between the seasons of her Comedy Central show:
"I don't understand their business plan. They insist on seeing, even after all this time, even after an Emmy nomination--not to be, you know, a dick about it, but it's like they have to see how every--how every episode performs ratings-wise before they'll even pick us up for scripts."
Sarah explained that Comedy Central's timid attitude toward programming commitments could potentially damage the buzz surrounding her show: "They have no idea if we'll be picked up until the whole season has aired...they have no eye on momentum."
Howard then asked about Sarah's supposedly-huge book advance, and Sarah confirmed the figure was $2.5 million: "I've never been an earner. This is the most money I've ever made. I'm so happy."
