HowardTV director, Scott DePace tried again to explain why he broke Gary's trust and showed Howard the 'Sleeping Booey' footage: "Everybody's going crazy in the control room that Gary's sleeping. I'm trying to direct a segment!"
Gary said he tried to rationalize Scott's position but quickly exhausted himself: "I ran out of buts...you're not a man of your word and you can't be trusted."
HowardTV producer, Doug Goodstein came in to say Scott should "just apologize."
Scott relented: "I promise you, we'll never use anything [again]...I'm sorry."
Gary accepted at an arm's length: "I actually don't care anymore...he doesn't have any feelings. He's inhuman."
Scott later claimed he'd negotiated the office cam discretion with Gary as a company man: "When he sat with me, it wasn't me. It was a representative of HowardTV."
Gary was unsympathetic: "Go run an oil company, you asshole."
