Howard on Dr. Laura’s Retirement

Howard noted that Dr. Laura had announced her retirement on Larry King’s show last night, but doubted her sincerity, speculating that Laura was only claiming to leave her show at the end of year to quiet her detractors: “She’s not leaving her radio show. She’s full of it.”

Howard said the n-word was firmly in the terrestrial radio no-go zone: “When you work in radio, there are things you can do and things you can’t do.”

Robin wondered if Laura would return–like Imus–with two black co-hosts, but Howard thought she’d need more: “She’d have to be surrounded by 10 co-hosts.”
