Eric the Midget called in to complain that Gary had rejected the 'blurb' he'd written for his 'They Call Me Baba Booey' book jacket, because there was only room for three blurbs on the back cover.
Howard empathized with Eric: "Eric, you're right. Your blurb was funny...I'm pretty sure you can change the font and squeeze in four blurbs."
Gary insisted that he'd only been allowed three blurbs--he chose Howard, Joan Rivers and Dr. Drew.
Howard demanded to know what was so great about Dr. Drew's blurb, so Gary read: "Gary's chronicle of how he developed the skills to survive a household shaken by both mental illness and the seismic shifts of the 60's and how he's applied those skills to accommodate Howard and the gang is nothing less than fascinating."
Eric's Rejected Blurb
Howard then read Eric's blurb: "Hey Apeface, I hope you enjoy your next job at McDonalds as much as you have enjoyed being Howard Stern's producer all these years. Always remember to ask your customers, 'Would you like fries with that?" Howard thought Gary had made a mistake: "I like Eric's better."
