Howard said he taped an interview for the Piers Morgan show on Thursday and was surprised to see The New York Times call Piers the "the anti-King of All Media" when he's "not the king of anything." While Howard had fun with Piers ("It was a good interview and I enjoyed it."), he was annoyed by the show's policy of over-taping interviews for online outtakes and exclusives: "I went, 'Am I really here to do outtakes?'"
On top of the over-taping, Piers blew past Howard's plugs for SiriusXM's iPhone app and HowardTV: "He kinda like rushed me through it...he was like, 'Oh, we'll cut that out in post.' And I was like, 'Dude, you better not!'" Howard also feared much of the material--Piers insisted on asking blue questions that CNN will likely never air--was just a waste of time: "So I said, 'Calm down'...it was going so long." It's still sure to be better than Piers' premiere episode: "Oprah's interview was terrible."
