Early in the show, Howard took staffer Will Murray to task for using the word “broadcasted” in the pre-interview notes he wrote on Al Roker.

“You have the highest I.Q., right?” Howard asked.

But Robin Quivers thought Will’s word choice made sense. “It’s a verb the way he’s using it,” she said.

So Howard backed down. “Maybe you’re right. When I read it last night, it seemed really bizarre,” he said. “You’re right, I’m wrong.”

Will knew to apologize anyway. “I’m sorry,” he said.

“Don’t be sorry,” Howard responded with a laugh.
