In passing, Chuck mentioned the 6 years he served in our great nation’s prison system, a sentence he blamed on one phonecall: “They said I made a telephone call to a guy that sold a ton of methamphetamine. Never made the phonecall. I was in British Columbia with Mickey Rourke, making a movie called ‘Year of the Dragon.'” Chuck visited over 19 different institutions while incarcerated: “Every time you have a fight, they transfer you to a different prison.” Howard asked why Chuck would fight anyone in prison, so Chuck laughed: “Why?! You think it’s like a country club in there?”
