Howie Mandel Hates Email, Prefers Phone Calls

Howard said he always had a hard time tracking down Howie because he didn’t answer email, so Howie explained that he preferred to talk on the phone–those who contact him frequently are explicitly instructed to call him: “I don’t like email because I don’t understand. There’s no inflection in email. I don’t know if you’re f’ing with me, if you’re serious. I don’t know. I’m neurotic about email. I don’t like email.”

Howie did offer a compromise though, saying that if Howard would like to email him, he should call first and let him know that he wanted to send an email and Howie would then “sit by the phone and wait for it.”
