Howard was glad to hear about the impending retirement of Imus’ sidekick, Charles McCord: “What an idiot loudmouth.” Howard said he’d known Charles for a long time–when Howard hit #1 at NBC, Charles sat next to him at Al Rosenberg’s kid’s Bah Mitzvah like he was “my best friend. I was like, ‘F’ off.’ I wanted nothing to do with the guy.”
