Asked for an update about his TV opportunities, Ronnie the Limo Driver referred all inquiries to his representation: “Don’s working on stuff.”

Howard asked if that was true, so Ronnie clarified: “Don Buchwald and Associates, ok?”

Howard laughed that Don had delegated Ronnie’s account: “[Don] basically said to Ronnie, ‘Listen, don’t go saying Don Buchwald’s working [on it]’…he’s ashamed to be associated with you.”

Ronnie admitted that his rep wasn’t Don, but he was still technically represented by Don Buchwald: “He is but he isn’t.”

Howard sympathized with Ronnie, comparing his late-career success with that of Regis Philbin: “Poor Ronnie. His whole life he’s been waiting. Now, all of a sudden, he’s everyone’s sweetheart.”
