Gary asked if his best friend's death might excuse a personal day, but Robin dismissed the idea: "Best friends don't count."
Robin later said Gary should even come in to work if the funeral was that very morning: "You should go, of course, but you should come in, like Howard said, for a while."
George Takei, in for the week, laughed that Gary should ask his friends to schedule their deaths--but thought Howard would still be a fine source of comfort.
Robin scoffed: "Are you kidding me? He'll be complaining about himself."
