Before hanging up, Eric Invited Howard to meet him for dinner when he's in San Francisco for "AGT" auditions--but Howard had to decline: "I would actually meet you for dinner. But I'm only there for two days and they're working me from 11 to 11. Or something insane like that. I don't even think I get a dinner. They just feed you on set. I'm literally flying in the day before, I get there, I work for two days and I leave." Howard laughed that, like Eric, he might have taken on a more stressful gig than he'd originally thought: "My life and I were in la-la land. We were like, 'Oh, we'll go on these trips and have dinner and have fun.'" Before moving on, Howard told Eric that Mary McCormack, "In Plain Sight's" star, had written to anticipate meeting him: "I can't believe Eric the Actor is going to be on my TV show...she's actually excited about it." Eric said he was happy that she'd used his "real" name.
