Howard and Ellen Find Common Ground, Bury the Hatchet

Early in the show, Howard noted that he’d recently received a call from Ellen DeGeneres thanking him for supporting her in her recent struggles with the conservative One Million Moms group.

Howard explained that he felt embarrassed that she even had to thank him for sticking up for her in this day. He added he also spent some time with her at Jimmy Kimmel’s party: “I got to speak to her and Portia for a long [time] … and you hear what she has to say about her life and really she’s an innocent. Right. She’s no different than me. Her passion is to entertain people.”

Howard said Ellen was also a T.M. devotee – the pair have found both common ground and cause.
