Robin Quivers has got an empire – properties, boats, cats, etc. A woman with her fast-paced life can't possibly run her life herself, so she needs somebody – and that somebody is a boat captain named Dennis.
The much heard about but rarely seen Captain Dennis came to work with Robin this morning and Howard couldn't resist pulling him into the studio for some insight into the woman who has fascinated him for thirty years.
GETTING TO KNOW CAPTAIN DENNIS
Dennis is mild-mannered and shy, but Howard was able to glean that he sets up and fixes things for Robin -"It should work when I touch it" was her statement – commands a "fleet" of staff members, attends to any guests Ms. Quivers may be entertaining and, of course, drives her boat.
And like any boss, Robin has her moments with Dennis. She will sometimes shriek and scream at him and occasionally he'll yell right back, which only enrages the newswoman more.
They have a good working relationship though, and they're even friendly, sharing recipes and a hatred for rice.
Dennis and Robin swore there were never any romantic entanglements, though we can't imagine a man being close to Robin and not falling in love.
He did recently suggest that he and Robin prank her nephew Anthony by announcing that they were getting married, which confused Robin and hopefully set some romantic wheels in motion, and it will end like the Fran Drescher sitcom "The Nanny."
