Comedian Kathy Griffin stopped by the show this morning and was, as always, open and honest about both her own life and the lives of other celebrities.
Kathy's talk show was recently cancelled by Bravo. She'd envisioned it as a modern Dick Cavett Show, in that it would feature real, candid people instead of celebrities, but it ended up being much more celebrity-driven and lasted only two seasons before getting the axe.
On the other hand, however, Katy recently surpassed the late comedy legend George Carlin's prolific amount of TV specials; she now sits at an astounding sixteen. Kathy also admitted that she's worth about $15 million, give or take.
Kathy also expressed her very upset feelings with Howard today, claiming that Jimmy Kimmel told her he and Howard have made a pact to never to hang out with her personally. Kathy even referred to Jimmy's celebrity friend cirlce as "Jimmy's Mafia." Howard responded by saying that, though he has no such pact with Jimmy, it is true he doesn't want to have Kathy over to his home because of what she might report back to the world.
Luckily for Kathy (and us) there are celebrities that still talk to Kathy. Kathy opened up to Howard about all her recent run-ins:
*Kathy recently sat next to Kim Kardashian at a Power Women lunch, and reported that "there's a look of vacancy on her face that's unparalleled."
*Brooke Shields still isn't talking to Kathy, after she talked all about Brooke's wedding and mother during her last appearance on the Stern Show. But Kathy also said that Brooke would probably do Howard's show in the future; the only reason she wouldn't do it before was due to the influence of Brooke's ex-husband Andre Agassi (who was a meth addict with no sense of humor, according to Kathy).
*Kathy is still good friends with Cher, who advised her that, no matter how old she gets, her boyfriends have to stay 35.
*Kathy likes to "sext" risqué photos to her New Years Eve co-host Anderson Cooper, especially when he's in the middle of covering a particularly serious news story.
*Kathy revealed that she went to Anna Nicole Smith's house for Thanksgiving dinner one year, eating a turkey that was cooked by flamboyant comedian Rip Taylor.
*Kathy and Katie Couric once played doorbell ditch at the hotel room door of President Obama's Senior Advisor Valerie Jarrett.
*In a proactive move of self-preservation, actor Alec Baldwin once approached Kathy at a function, drew her close and whispered that she was funny and sexy.
Lastly, Howard asked Kathy about dating oddball comedian Fred Stoller, who wrote in his memoir that Kathy wanted to punch him in the face during sex, and also announced ten minutes into their first date that she was wet. Kathy didn't deny either claim, but she did not go through with the sex punch.
