Eric the Actor called in early in the show, sort of. Howard picked up on the little ingrate, but wouldn't speak directly to him – Gary relayed Howard's questions and statements to the frustrated little person.
Eric wanted to go over a recent missive he'd sent via email entitled "Things Need to Change NOW!"
In the note, he expressed his intense desire to return to the Stern Show. Eric wanted to apologize and clarify that he didn't threaten to sue the show, he talked about threatening to sue the show.
He's also sort-of back with his manager Johnny Fratto, but he won't fully commit until Fratto drops Eric's full-sized nemeses Jeff the Drunk as a client. Jeff is already in talks for a role in a new movie from In Plain Sight producer John Strauss. Fratto might not want to give up this new disabled meal ticket.
ERIC-RICKLES ROASTS GARY
Gary quickly grew annoyed with the Eric, who had obviously written a few brilliant zingers to sling at the producer, like suggesting Gary go to the Bronx zoo to visit his relatives and "Why don't you have a pitching contest with Carly Rae Jepsen," a singer who recently threw out a disappointing first pitch.
In a rare moment of vulnerability, the prickly little pear admitted that he had hoped that people would still care about him even without his association with the Stern Show. He found that he was 100% wrong.
As for the subject which always comes up when Eric is on the phone, it appears that his Twitter account is now back up, though he was hesitant to announce his return to the social media platform. He'd like to just quietly follow his Big Boobed Girls feeds and not be harassed by Stern fans.
