Since today was a working weekday, you know what that means: Scott the Engineer messed something up.

Stern Show writer and sound-effects genius Fred Norris bought a very cool piece of equipment called a TC-Helicon Harmony Singer.

Essentially, it’s a pedal that you plug a microphone and a guitar into and it makes one vocalist sound like Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young. Fred tested it last week and it sounded awesome.

Howard was intrigued and wanted to try it but Scott couldn’t seem to hook it up properly. Howard tried to sing the Eagles’ “Take it Easy,” but the harmonies weren’t coming in and he got frustrated.

Gary Dell’Abate tried to make peace by suggesting that Fred try to use it, since he’s familiar with how it works. Scott slammed Gary for saying that Howard can’t sing. Gary immediately withdrew his argument. “I take it back, the reason it didn’t work is because Scott is incompetent.”
