“There’s nothing normal about this,” Howard tells his executive producer
Stern Show Executive Producer Gary Dell’Abate may no longer be trusted to sort through mail from the Wack Pack after Wednesday.
Howard recounted how Gary recently wondered if he could simply throw out the generic cards Mariann from Brooklyn was sending, so Howard asked to see the most recent one.
Upon retrieving it, Gary remarked how normal the shrill-voiced superfan seemed in her holiday card, but Howard disagreed. “I go, ‘Gary, there’s nothing normal about this card. Did you look closely?’”
The card (below) features Mariann with other Stern Show superfans and Wack Packers, but Gary didn’t seem to notice. “Well, her husband’s in the top right corner,” he offered as explanation for his initial reaction.
“No it’s not! That’s not my husband,” Mariann erupted on the phone. “That’s a Howard holiday-themed card. Nobody in my family goes on there.”
Needless to say, it seems Howard will indeed be keeping an eye on what Mariann is sending him from now on.
