Don Imus signed off from his radio show for the final time on March 29, but his voice is far from lost thanks to Sour Shoes.

The Stern Show’s history with newly retired radio host goes back to the ‘80s when Howard took his talents to WNBC, where Imus had been working at the time. On Tuesday, the King of All Media reviewed clips from his former colleague’s last show. Moreover, he treated listeners to yet another pitch-perfect impression from Sour.

“He called 57 times with Imus goodbye tapes,” Howard said with a laugh. “I’ve listened to these 30 times. Again, I think Sour Shoes is a genius.”

The Wack Pack talent has been on a roll lately. He graced fans with an in-person medley of voices for Gary Dell’Abate’s birthday celebration as well as a recent imitation of Mariann from Brooklyn, among other voices. He even received a name drop from comedian John Mulaney at the 2018 Independent Spirit Awards.
