Howard announces the new “Saturday Soundtracks” series featuring audio and video from the greatest music performances on the Stern Show

Good Morning Everybody!

Howard made an exciting announcement on Wednesday morning about a new radio series coming soon to Howard 101. Staring Saturday, March 9, fans will get to hear some of the greatest music performances ever played in the Stern Show studio from artists like Billy Joel, Blondie, Katy Perry, KISS, Duran Duran, Ed Sheeran, Joe Walsh, Phil Collins, Roger Daltrey, John Legend, Sia, Weezer, and Miley Cyrus.

“So many musicians have come in and performed, so we’ve created a brand-new show out of it,” Howard said on the air. “I think our fans will love this.”

“Howard Stern’s Saturday Soundtracks” will kick off at 9 a.m. ET and is accompanied in the “Howard Stern Video” section of the SiriusXM app with footage from the studio.

Check out the video of Cheap Trick’s “I Want You to Want Me” from 2006 (above) and tune in to the series debut on Saturday for audio of Dave Grohl’s first-ever unplugged performance of “Everlong” (1998), Lady Gaga’s solo piano rendition of “Million Reasons” (2016), and James Taylor singing “Fire & Rain” (2015).
