Sal Governale may have had lackluster success looking for signs outside from objects he found down on the ground, but the Stern Show staffer said Wednesday he’s been looking up lately and liking what he sees: birds.

“I sit outside and I watch the birds,” Sal explained plainly to Howard. “I was fascinated by it and I was watching the birds and I was thinking to myself, ‘You know, these birds are absolutely beautiful.’”

The staffer even went as far as to buy a special app that plays sounds that attract not only species like the American robin and the red cardinal, but evidently heat from wife Christine. “My wife comes outside … and she says, ‘The birds are going to shit all over the place, stop doing that!’” he recalled.

“She’s got a point,” Howard reasoned.

“Another little bit of happiness janked away from you,” co-host Robin Quivers teased.
