I admired him,” the King of All Media says

September 24, 2025

Howard and co-host Robin Quivers spent a few minutes Wednesday morning remembering Hollywood icon Robert Redford, who passed away Tuesday at the age of 89.

“Robert Redford was a tremendously motivated man and such a good looking guy, so I admired him,” Howard said of the Oscar-winning filmmaker, movie star, activist, and Sundance Film Festival founder.

Indeed, he was beloved by many, including Barbra Streisand, his co-star in “The Way We Were,” who sang his praises during her memorable 2023 visit to the Stern Show. While Redford has starred in too many Hollywood classics to count, Howard and co-host Robin Quivers were quick to name “All the President’s Men,” “The Sting,” “Indecent Proposal,” “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid,” and “The Natural” as a few of their favorites.

“He really loved acting so much,” Robin said of the late entertainer.

“Rest in peace,” Howard added.
