Howard and the staff paid fitting tribute to actor Robert Carradine on Monday, who passed away recently at the age of 71.
Carradine — who famously starred in everything from “Revenge of the Nerds” to the Disney series “Lizzie Maguire” — also appeared on the Stern Show in 2013 alongside his “Nerds” co-star Curtis Armstrong. The two discussed their beloved characters, Lewis Skolnick and Dudley “Booger” Dawson, with Robert even going so far as to show Howard how he and James Cromwell — who played his on-screen father — developed the Skolnick family’s iconic laugh.
“That’s a great story,” Howard said on Monday. “[‘Nerds’] is one of my favorite all-time movies.”
“It’s the best,” Stern Show staffer Richard Christy agreed. “I watched it again this week, and I cried … Thank you for everything you did, Robert.”
“Rest in peace, Robert Carradine,” Howard finished. “And my condolences to his family.”
