VIDEO: Could Howard Handle Being Roasted Like Kevin Hart?

When it comes to “The Roast of Kevin Hart,” Howard is happy to remain a spectator. While discussing the Netflix special on Monday’s show, Howard admitted to Robin that he doesn’t think he has the thick skin required to sit on that stage.

“The guys played me some clips, and it was brutal,” Howard said of the event, which featured the likes of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Tom Brady taking shots at the comedian and frequent Stern Show guest. “Holy shit. I would not do well at a roast, man.”

Howard wasn’t just imagining how getting roasted might feel, either — he was speaking from experience. “I’d walk down the steps, and my father would look at me and go, ‘Look, here she is, Miss America,’” he recalled with a laugh.

If Howard ever did sign up for a Netflix special, he joked that he would have one major condition. “I’m thinking of approaching Netflix and saying, ‘I would like to be roasted, but only if people praise me,'” he suggested. “That would be great. Like, you tune in, they’re going to roast Howard Stern, and everyone’s just like, ‘You know, Howard’s a great guy.'”
