Johnny Knoxville dropped in to talk about his new movie, “The Dukes of Hazzard.” Howard was curious reports he’d read of Johnny having an affair with his costar Jessica Simpson. Johnny denied the affair and even took a lie-detector test to prove he was telling the truth, courtesy of resident expert Ed Torian.

Here are a few questions Ed asked as well as the answers Johnny gave:

• Is your real name Johnny? Johnny said yes, but that was a lie. He was actually given the first name Philip.

• Are you married? Johnny said yes, and he was truthful

• Are you happily married? Again, Johnny said yes, and again he was truthful.

• Did you have sex with Jessica Simpson? Johnny said no, and he was truthful.

• Have you ever had sex with a farm animal? Johnny said no, and he was the truthful

Making It Big

Later, a caller asked Johnny how he got started with the show “Jackass.” Johnny told how he and some of his friends would do crazy stunts and put them in the skate videos they made, and finally he caught a break. Howard remembered how, when Johnny was in high school, he’d send Howard tapes of himself getting tasered.

Johnny said he still hangs out with the guys from “Jackass,” but he has a bunch of movies he’s been working on as well. He said he has about five movies coming out over the next few months and he predicted “The Dukes of Hazzard” would do well at the box office.

Smoking It Up With Willie

Howard wanted to know what it was like on the set of “The Dukes of Hazzard.” Johnny said it was great. He said Burt Reynolds told the best stories and that he went around hugging everyone all the time. He also said Willie Nelson was the sweetest. Johnny smoked weed with him on a couple of occasions, but he had to limit the number of times he did it because the pot Willie had was potent and Johnny was afraid he’d forget his lines. However, no matter how much Willie smoked, he never missed a beat.
