As if his illness wasn't enough, Howard reported that he also had to deal with a controversy yesterday surrounding The Howard 100 News.
Howard reported that The News conducted an interview with Jessica Hahn, who was upset with the show because she wasn't contacted to be a part of Friday's parade.
Howard added that, during the interview, Jessica broke down crying and that Scott Greenstein, president of entertainment at SIRIUS, didn't want the piece to air out of fear it might make Howard look bad. Howard went on to note that he understood Scott's reasoning for the decision, but that he had to write his news director an e-mail to convince her not to quit over the move.
Gary then mentioned that, although he didn't have an organized system when it came to asking people to participate in the final show, he was sure Will left Jessica two messages about the event. Howard acknowledged that Jessica does get emotional pretty easily so it wasn't a big deal, but that it was still a situation he wished he could've avoided yesterday given his health.
