Following recent clips from Robin’s news of everyone discussing the finale of “The Tony Danza Show” and the rumor that Tom Cruise was going to eat the placenta after his baby was born, Jon played a tape from KROCK of Artie discussing his first date with Dana. In the clip, Artie recalled taking Dana to a seafood restaurant, Ocean, where she had a chopped salad and shrimp. When Artie added Dana didn’t eat dessert, Robin pointed out that was a good sign, because it meant she was “into him.” Artie then commented he and Dana went to a bar called Peter’s after dinner, where he sang along to the songs he played on the bar’s jukebox, a set list that included “Thunder Road” by Bruce Springsteen and “Go Your Own Way” by Fleetwood Mac. Artie went on to say Dana was “hot,” and that he thought she was “out of his league.” Artie added that he and Dana “made out” after their date before admitting he made her take him to a pizzeria so he could get some pizza towards the end of the date. Artie told Howard he ended up sleeping on the couch outside of the studio that night because he was tired and didn’t want to be late that morning. When the clip was done, Jon wondered how long Artie had been on the show when the bit occurred, but Gary wasn’t sure. However, Gary guessed Artie hadn’t joined the cast long before the segment took place, noting Robin told him in the clip he wouldn’t be able to go out on late-night dates in the future if he “stuck with the show for a while.”
