Joan Rivers Isn’t Senile…Yet

Joan Rivers stopped by to promote her gig on IFC’s “Z-Rock,” and Howard asked her how she managed to stay looking so good. Joan said she gets Botox treatments injected into her face. Howard wondered if Joan was ever going to live in an old folk’s home, but Joan couldn’t imagine it: “I love my business.” Joan laughed that she likes to spend her time painting, but she can’t be any good, as none of her friends have ever asked to keep any of her artwork. Joan said she still gets waxed downstairs, which only endeared her to Howard. Howard asked after Joan’s boyfriend, so Joan explained that all her ex-boyfriends have passed, though black men still pursue her: “It’s the ass, I tell you.” Joan then recounted some of the stars that have hit on her over the years, like Robert Goulet and an actor she wouldn’t name, as he was married and they actually had an affair. Joan also told the crew why she hates Victoria “Posh Spice” Beckham: “I love skinny women, but she [acts] ‘entitled.'”

Joan noted that she sometimes hangs with Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla Parker Bowles – they even go painting in the South of France together. Joan insisted that Prince Charles was attractive, but Howard thought Joan would never say so if she didn’t know him. Howard wondered what they would do after they were done painting, so Joan revealed that they go out to dinner and then all stay at a friend’s house.
