J.J. Abrams stopped by to promote his new “Star Trek” movie and estimated the film’s budget was $147 million. J.J. added that a lot of cost went to building sets. Asked if “Star Trek” would beat “Wolverine’s” hhhhhuuuuugggggeeeee ($87 million) opening weekend, J.J. dismissed the idea, predicting that the film would pull down $50 million in its opening week.

Robin asked why the film was being released right after “Wolverine,” and J.J. shrugged: “That’s a good question.” Howard then predicted the film would pull in $79 million this weekend.
