Good Morning Everybody!

Howard announced first-thing that today’s special guest would be Chris Martin, who will be performing live in the Stern Show studio, discussing his recent gig headlining the Super Bowl 50 Halftime Show, and more!

Kicking things off in another direction, Howard asked Fred to fire off the Andy Cohen alert indicating that he would begin discussing “The Bachelor” again. Before launching into it though, he put any potential haters at bay by revealing that Donnie Wahlberg (who is married to the beautiful Jenny McCarthy) even penned an essay called “When Boy Band Karma Meets ‘The Bachelor'” professing his addiction to the show.

Howard said he saw the bachelor, Ben Higgins, and his new fiancé, Bushnell, on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” (see above) and was surprised that the two of them already seem to be bugging the hell out of each other. Sticking points included what time Lauren wakes up in the morning and the way Ben prays.

Howard said he dated a woman at one point who wouldn’t shower or get ready until around the time he got back from work at 3p.m. The difference in their schedules, he felt, doomed the relationship in the long run.

Wolfie Interviews Senior Citizens

While visiting his grandmother at a nursing home in Pennsylvania, Wolfie decided to take along a recorder to interview some of the other senior citizens and his results turned out to be pretty outrageous.

“What a fucking nursing home!” Howard exclaimed before playing a few of the clips.

Wolfie asked his grandma’s neighbors a serious of questions about race, politics, and culture. In the recordings the oldies were heard taking a hard stance on everyone from President Obama (“He’s a monkey”) to who they considered to be the “most obnoxious race.”

Wolfie explained that it was a very conservative town that was predominantly Pennsylvania Dutch.

“This nursing home sounds like the Wing Bowl,” Howard joked.

Billy Corgan Calls for a Smashing Pumpkins Induction

Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins recently spoke to Rolling Stone and addressed the fact that his band has not been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame yet.

“If it’s a meritocracy, I think my band belongs in there because we were one of the prime bands of our era and we continue to be a top band,” he explained.

Howard said he thought the Smashing Pumpkins were on par with “all of the greats” and shouldn’t be forced to beg for it.

Howard played a clip of “Tonight, Tonight,” noting that the entire album was great.

“So Billy, wherever you are, I’m with you,” Howard offered to the rocker.

Mark With the ‘Thermos-Sized Cock’

In response to the discussion about Hulk Hogan’s sex tape, a man named Mark who claimed to also have a “thermos-sized cock” called in to explain why it’s not all it’s cracked up to be.

“I unfortunately have one and my wife doesn’t appreciate it,” he told Howard, who was a bit incredulous.

“It’s limiting my sex life,” he continued, describing “it’s unfortunate for both of us … We have to ease into things.”

So there you have it.

Chris Martin Reflects on the Super Bowl, Sufis, and David Bowie

Returning to the Stern Show in the wake of one of Coldplay’s biggest shows ever, Chris Martin stopped by to discuss what it was like to perform at Super Bowl 50, how he has found happiness, and why this might be the final Coldplay album. The talented singer, songwriter, and musician also performed some music for listeners that ranged from a Bowie cover to their latest single and a few in between.

Yucko the Clown’s Softening Stance

Late in the morning Howard got a call from Yucko the Clown who wanted to let him know that he recently filmed some scenes with a transgender person who had “the nicest tits” he’s ever seen.

Howard was a little shocked that the typically racist clown sounded like he was making strides in his acceptance of others.

“You know who has great tits? Benjy … for a guy,” Howard joked.
